Räikkönen hoping for dry race conditions Kimi Räikkönen is hoping that the Belgian Grand Prix will take place amid dry weather conditions, having struggled for pace during Saturday's rain-hit qualifying session. The Lotus driver, whose team decided to drop its Drag Reduction Device (DRD) after Friday practice, ended a damp Q3 phase as the eighth fastest driver, and will share the fourth row of the grid with team-mate Romain Grosjean tomorrow afternoon. "When it was dry in the second qualifying session we were fastest, so if it’s dry tomorrow we should be OK for the race; even though we will not start from a great position," Räikkönen told the gathered media.
