Saari wonders over Permane’s swearing: he crossed the line

Räikkönen has admitted in MTV3 that after his Ferrari-deal was announced, some people in the team seem to have changed their attitude towards him. Yesterday is the clearest of examples when Alan Permane ordered Räikkönen to give way to Grosjean by using swear words. Räikkönen replied by swearing back. 

– It’s easy to determine that based upon that discussion they are maybe not best friends, but one shouldn’t draw too many conclusions over that. 

– I wonder over his behaviour. It’s a different thing to say firmly than to say it like he did. It lacked respect and I think he crossed the line. I believe Permane as a smart man knows himself that he overreacted once he gets time to calm down. That’s what it’s like and this is not the most serious thing in the world. 

“Kimi was not fuming about Grosjean” 

– In sport there is an emotional charge which sometimes boils over. It describes certain kinds of things about the situation, but it’s not the whole picture. Kimi has mostly good relationships with people in the team who are important for him. 

– One thing has to be noted; although Grosjean wondered over Kimi’s actions, Kimi wasn’t angry at him. Räikkönen only said that he is racing everyone and I doubt any of this nags Grosjean in any way. 

Räikkönen in transition 

Räikkönen didn’t take part in Lotus-team’s photo which was taken in honor of Grosjean’s podium. That describes the situation – that Räikkönen has already partly left the team. 

– It’s a transition. I don’t think the atmosphere is disturbing in any way, but it’s clear that in a situation like that, they sort of exclude the driver. It’s inevitable. 

Lewis Hamilton was in a similar position last year when his switch from McLaren to Mercedes was announced at the end of September. He told that suddenly, he didn’t get all data at his disposal and he wasn’t invited to all meetings. Saari thinks that Räikkönen’s attitude has been professional all the time and that he has proved that with his driving performances. 

– Now he ran out of tyres. Otherwise Kimi would had been on the podium. The only thing he can improve is his driving in qualifications, but it’s been like that the whole time in Lotus. 

– If we start to see really bad performances, then we can say that his attitude has changed, but he works like a professional. I don’t sit at their lunch table every day listening to what they talk about, but Kimi has seemed to be in a good mood on the outside and I haven’t seen any anxiety on the outside on either sides, Saari said.

Concordo com o que Oskari Saari disse neste texto. Permane exagerou, mas ao contrário de Saari, não acredito que ele vá mudar de opinião não.

Também acho que eles já estão excluindo Kimi, exatamente como foi com Hamilton ano passado na McLaren. Entendo isto fora da pista, mas sei lá, depois de ontem, já acho que eles resolveram fazer o mesmo dentro da pista.

De qualquer forma, como disse ontem, sinto tristeza em ver pessoas do alto escalão da equipe tratando Kimi assim, mas como disse Saari no texto acima: "No esporte há uma carga emocional que às vezes ferve. Isto descreve certos tipos de coisas sobre a situação, mas esta não é a imagem completa. Kimi tem em sua maioria um bom relacionamento com as pessoas do time que são importantes para ele."

Exatamente isto aí. Acho que é por estas pessoas e pelo fato de gostar de pilotar que ele ainda está comparecendo às corridas, mesmo sem receber um centavo por isto, e segundo o que li (só não sei se é verdade), pagando as despesas de hotel e viagens de seu próprio bolso.

Como eu já disse aqui algumas vezes, não vou baixar o nível. Minha forma de defender Kimi e criticar quem está o prejudicando na equipe é esta. Pode não ser o suficiente e posso não ser uma fã verdadeira (como li ontem, já que não fui xingar Permane em seu twitter pessoal, ou não parei de seguir a Lotus nas redes sociais), mas esta é a minha forma de defender Kimi, mostrando o tipo de profissional que ele é. Tenho certeza que com a personalidade que o finlandês tem, agredir via rede social é algo que ele não apoiaria. 

Todos têm direito de se indignar, parar de seguir o time no twitter e no facebook, protestar contra a equipe, mas de maneira civilizada, não algumas coisas que tenho visto por aí. Enfim, quem não gostar da minha opinião ou da forma como sou torcedora do Iceman, só tenho um recado: não acesse o Octeto, ou se acessar, não leia o que falo sobre Räikkönen.

Como Saari disse, Kimi trabalha como um profissional e acredito que será assim até o Brasil. E isto basta para mim em termos de resposta ao que Permane e Grosjean fizeram ontem.
