Otherwise good, but where's the engine? Kimi asked

Kimi Räikkönen put a smile on the paddock people when he turned the GP3-car back to the paddock after the warm-up lap on Friday in Barcelona.

– Otherwise good, but you should also put an engine in the car, Kimi joked. 

Of course the 400 horsepowers in a GP3-car is far away from a F1-ride. 

However Räikkönen enjoyed the testing day. The man was in his element after trying out yet another racing car. 

– You can immediately spot a professional. It didn't take more than a couple of laps before Kimi was completely familiar with this car also, Antti Heikkinen, manager in Koiranen GP -team, assured on the spot. 

It's not that easy to adapt to a GP3-car after Lotus-car's F1-finesses. 

– We have brakes made of steel, whereas in F1 they are made of carbon fiber. It's different also because in GP3 you can't warm up the tires, Heikkinen emphasized the challenge. 

What especially startled Heikkinen was Räikkönen's fast time. 

– August is a vacation time, but although this track now has many users they don't drive here. Kimi had quite a huge cloud of dust behind him all the time, because the track is so dirty and on top of that the weather was very hot. From that perspective his time was really, really tough, Heikkinen glowed. 

Räikkönen tested the car for the GP3-serie but also for Pirelli. Heikkinen was in the paddock following his buddy drive. Marko Koiranen's and Heikkinen's Finnsh team is located on Barcelona's track-area. 

Räikkönen enjoyed driving like he always does. 

– It felt just as cool as it felt a few years a go when I returned to a F1-car and drove the old Lotus for the first time in Valencia, Räikkönen compared.

hahaha... imagino até Kimi brincando com o pessoal sobre a diferença de potência de um carro de F1 para um da GP3.

Foi uma ótima surpresa ver o Iceman de volta às pistas antes de Spa. :)
