Column: Friendship will remain
Turun Sanomat 08:37
Sebastian Vettel's and Kimi Räikkönen's brotherhood in arms will remain for sure on the F1-paddock, now that these champions didn't afterall become teammates next season.
Their friendship would surely had been challenged had Iceman raced alongside Wonderboy.
A warning example of the danger of cracks in their friendship was seen in Hungary GP, when Räikkönen prevented Vettel's attempt to overtake and the German driver snapped in the team radio that his fellow competitor didn't leave enough space for him in that situation.
Next season those kinds of situations would had happened all the time if they were in the same team.
It is certain that Räikkönen not coming is a very bad disappointment for Red Bull-fans, since a while ago he got many times more votes than Ricciardo in their website's poll.
Vettel's status as driver #1 will shine even brighter with Ricciardo. The team chose a humble stundent who will do what he is told to do - unlike Mark Webber – and he won't challenge the champion as fiercly as Räikkönen would had done in an identical car.
I myself had already started to believe that Räikkönen would go to Red Bull. My German reporter buddy Michael Schmidt – the top gun in researching journalism on the F1-paddock - did however warn me already on Friday night in Hungary that Ricciardo's stocks had mysteriously gone up whereas Räikkönen's stocks were going down.
Once again he hit home...

Sempre bacana ler os textos de Kulta. Estava precisando disto.
