Kimi Räikkönen has at least so far left the rallying business after making a decision to go back to F1.

- In order to see real results he should just have trained more. Based upon what I have talked with the engineers in Citroen, Kimi drove same times in tests as Loeb and many others. It wasn't up to his driving skills, it was up to making pace notes and having experience in making them, Mikko Hirvonen evaluated Räikkönen.

Sebastien Loeb also thought Räikkönen's problems were the notes.

- Kimi's results were completely okay but in this sport it takes a long time before you can improve your results. Kimi had the skills to drive really fast in a rally car but his biggest problem was the notes. It's always a big problem in rallying if you don't have enough experience in making notes. However it was great to work with him, Loeb estimated Räikkönen.

Petter Solberg thinks that Räikkönen should have raced more in order to get top results.

- Räikkönen is a really talented driver and when looking at how little experience he had he drove really well. But rally is a really difficult sport. It requires years of practice especially in noting. Kimi realised that quickly himself too. Perhaps he would have had chances to fight for top results, Solberg commented.

Engraçado como são as coisas. Há dois anos aos mesmos pilotos acima se perguntavam o que eles achavam que poderia acontecer com a chegada de Kimi ao WRC. Hoje, perguntam como estes pilotos veem a passagem de Räikkönen por lá.

Não acho que eles estejam mentindo ou fazendo tipo, pareceram sinceros em suas opiniões. E concordo, as notas sempre foram uma pedrinha no sapato de Kimi no WRC e não há como culpá-lo ou exigir dele performances como as de Loeb, Petter e Mikko.

Tudo o que ele sabia de automobilismo se resumia às suas próprias ações e não a um trabalho em dupla e ter que mentalizar e colocar no papel os traçados dos caminhos que ele percorreria. Não se aprende isto da noite para o dia.

No final, acho que ele se saiu bem, considerando a pouca experiência que tinha, como mencionou Petter.
