Rally is a fascinating sport. It gives more than enough challenge and the levels of difficulty are endless. There's enough of changing factors and each corner is practically different. That's why it is a splendid thing that people have come up with many different motorsport-classes that you don't even need to compare to each other. Rally again lacks those G-forces and wheel-to-wheel battles that you can enjoy for example in F1.
You probably guess that I have been asked this question several times: "which sport is better, rally or F1?". I reply almost always that it's completely useless to compare. Which sport is better, football or volleyball? However I believe that Kimi Räikkönen went to rally to succeed. He drove a few races with S2000 and did well in that gang. Perhaps it got his thoughts flowing in the fascinating glamour of an even bigger success, yet the truth was different. Unfortunately Räikkönen didn't succeed in WRC the way he had hoped. It was clearly visible starting from the beginning of this year that the blood was taking him back to track-racing. A driver who has all his life been used to win didn't want to drive behind the lead - and why should he even had to want that?
I give Räikkönen an excellent grade - if it even is necessary. He could amazingly fast beat Matthew Wilson and other experienced rally drivers and fight for positions behind the factory cars. This proves his talent as a motorsportsman as a whole. However the truth is that Räikkönen is a track-racer by profession, not a rally driver. Yet he is 100% a rally man.
Räikkönen's comeback to F1 is a splendid thing. I heard about it for the first time from a buddy in our band who is a die-hard F1-fan, his SMS was filled with cries of joy. I noticed that even I got excited over the news. F1 will get multiplied more than what rally will lose. This is the reason why this is now going completely the right way. Thank you Kimi for these two years in rally and I wish you success in the place where you will most certainly will get it. But you won't forget this sport completely, won't you?

Que coisa mais querida este texto. Como me faz bem ler algo assim. Fico tão feliz que as pessoas entendam o que foi a passagem de Kimi pelo rali e fico ainda mais alegre e orgulhosa que falem dele com tanto carinho. Aliás, não posso sequer reclamar da forma como o WRC tratou o Iceman desde o início. Eles foram demais!
