Without any doubt, the big subject of the past days is the possible come back of Kimi Raikkonen with Williams. Panos Seitanidis met Heikki Kulta of Finnish TS and asked about Kimi.
PS: At the Friday press conference, you asked about Kimi's future in Williams, stating that a few million Finns wait for the good news. Because there are not few Greeks waiting too, can you make a prediction on the final outcome?
HK: Prediction... (laughs) I'm an optimist, especially for a Finnish driver. I'm in this job for 15 years and everytime that there is a scenario, i hunt the news as much as i can, i dedicate myself on it. I was at Catalunya, saw Kimi, talked to him and i know he wants to come back in f1. His heart belongs in f1. In my opinion, he achived a lot in rally, but he will need quite some more time to reach the next stage-that is to compete on equal terms with the top drivers. I think he knows it too and because he is a realist, f1 is back in his mind, even as a probability. I think he really wants to come back .
PS: I like that you say these words with a huge smile.
HK: (lots of laughs) As i said, i'm always optimistic and perhaps not the person to make an objective assessment.
PS: What about the Finns? Are they keen on this come back?
HK: After 2008 and 2009 when we had a driver at Ferrari and another one at McLaren, our expectations were high. But there are two years now that a Finn got points and we need more Finnish drivers to raise the interest. Valtteri Botas is a good perspective but not for the short term future or next season.
PS: Do you think that if Kimi returns he'll be the old Kimi?
HK: That depends on the car he'll have in his hands.
PS: Is he in a good physical shape to cope with a return?
HK: He is just fine! He exersizes, is in good physical shape and in comparison to Schumacher who returned after 3 years, Kimi never stopped racing. He's doing rally for two years, participated at Nascar and because i was present at Charlotte, i did see how he keeps adoring wheel to wheel racing. We'll see and i do hope we'll have soon some good news.

Não sei Ludy, mas confie um pouco, tenho certeza que não faz bem pra você guardar esse sentimento. Não sei como explicar melhor, mas... a gente pode se surpreender.
Micael, sinto muito, mas nunca vou deixar para lá. A F1 para mim acabou, mal assito, acompanho por causa do blog. Kimi pode voltar, ser campeão, que isto não vai mudar. O bom do WRC é que eu sou feliz lá, eu curto, me divirto, aproveito, mesmo com todas as dificuldades, mas enfim...
