Confesso que essas oficinas tão limpinhas quanto um ambulatório sempre me causaram estranheza.

Nico and Michael visit Mercedes-Benz HighPerformance Engines in Brixworth
The British Grand Prix is the first of two home races for the team this month, the second coming up in two weeks’ time with the German Grand Prix at the Nürburgring where the legend of the Silver Arrows was born. In the run-up to the Silverstone weekend, Michael and Nico dropped in on the workforce at the Mercedes-Benz HighPerformance Engines (MBHPE) factory which is located 30 miles from the circuit in the Northamptonshire town of Brixworth. This is where the Formula One engines and KERS for the Silver Arrows as well as for the various Mercedes-Benz customer teams are developed and built.
During a tour of the factory, the MERCEDES GP PETRONAS drivers exchanged ideas with team members and took a look behind the scenes to see how the Mercedes-Benz FO 108Y engines for their Silver Arrows take shape. They even showed their engineering skills in building an Formula One engine.
Since 1954, cars powered by Mercedes-Benz have won 84 Formula One races; 75 of these Grand Prix wins were notched up by engines from Brixworth – including the first KERS hybrid victory in F1 history (2009 Hungarian GP).
Last year, the Royal Automobile Club awarded MBHPE the Dewar Trophy for Technical Excellence in honour of its work on the design, development and application of the Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) in Formula One. At the beginning of 2011, MBHPE became the first Formula One team to achieve the OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health & Safety Standard. (By Mercedes GP)
