Durante a semana neste post aqui, falei sobre a participação de Jacques no segundo filme de Cars, na versão em francês. Agora posto uma outra matéria, na verdade, só para deixar os comentários de Jacques, onde ele fala sobre a experiência e sobre a expectativa dele e dos filhos dele sobre o filme.

É sempre tão lindo quando Villeneuve menciona seus pequenos. Eu sempre, sempre me derreto. Imagino o quão carinhoso e bom pai ele deva ser para Jules e Joakin.

Jacques Villeneuve to appear in Disney-Pixar’s CARS 2

Jacques Villeneuve is to appear as himself in the Quebec and other French-speaking versions of Disney-Pixar’s CARS 2, with the French-Canadian racing driver playing a sports announcer in the film.

Directed by John Lasseter and co-directed by Brad Lewis, CARS 2 is the story of star racecar Lightning McQueen and the incomparable tow truck Mater as they head overseas to compete in the first-ever World Grand Prix. But the road to the championship is filled with plenty of potholes, detours and hilarious surprises when Mater gets caught up in an intriguing adventure of his own: international espionage.

The character 'Jacques Villeneuve', a handsome forest green 1963 Jaguar Coombs Lightweight E-Type, originally from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, is a champion racer who has competed around the world for more than 20 years. Sharing his priceless knowledge and providing comic relief during broadcasts, 'Jacques' hails from a family of champion racers and is only the third racer in history to win the CART Championship, the Indianapolis 500 and the Formula One World Championship. His storytelling comes from a wealth of personal experience, as he enlightens and entertains the World Grand Prix audiences.

Speaking about his involvement with Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, Villeneuve said: “To be given the opportunity to be part of such an incredible production is something pretty special, and I’m constantly amazed at the skill involved in bringing all these characters to life on screen. I was a huge fan of CARS when it came out, so to be involved in CARS 2 has been a great experience and a lot of fun. Disney-Pixar films are always a hit with the whole family, and I’m as excited about seeing the final version on the big screen as my kids are - I hope to make them proud.”

The film hits the track on June 24, 2011, and will be presented in Disney Digital 3D™ and IMAX® 3D in select theatres.
