4-time Sprint Cup champion Jeff Gordon and Nelson Piquet, who drives in World Camping Truck -serie welcome Kimi Räikkönen to NASCAR-tracks according to Reuter.
– It would be a really cool and exciting thing. I'm a F1-fan and have followed Kimi racing and winning there. It would be really awesome to get him to race in NASCAR, Gordon assured.
– I think it's great for the serie to hear that Kimi decided to join and compete with trucks. I'm sure it will be great for him to see what American racing really is about, Piquet said.

– Foster Gillet contacted us without any prejudice. We discussed about it and took a look into it and then Kimi got exited over it, Kuvaja tells.
Gillett's family has been in NASCAR since 2007.
– ICE1 Racing starts to co-operate with an already existing team. They have the exprerience and know-how there ready. We have a few options left for team partners and car labels. Kimi will decide in the end what we will do. We will make the decision within the next two weeks, Kuvaja said.
