Só sorrisos no lançamento da Mercedes em Stuttgart hoje. Nico feliz falou que é um sonho pilotar uma Silver Arrows e que tem trabalhado muito na fábrica da Brawn em Brackley, em Brixworth, onde a Mercedes desenvolve os motores, e lá mesmo, em Stuttgart.

Vestindo o macacão da Mercedes para a temporada 2010 da F1, Nico Rosberg afirmou que trabalhar para a equipe é "um sonho que se realiza". Em Stuttgart, onde o time revelou — em um carro usado pela Brawn em 2009 — as cores de seu novo modelo, o alemão falou sobre a experiência de vestir o prateado da montadora.

"É claro que para mim é muito, muito especial. Poder pilotar a primeira Flecha de Prata em mais de 50 anos é um sonho que se realiza", declarou, nesta segunda-feira (25), o sétimo colocado no Mundial de Pilotos do ano passado.

Nico tem excelentes expectativas para o próximo campeonato, que começa em 14 de março, no Bahrein. "Estou ansioso. Trabalhar com pessoas como Norbert [Haug], Ross [Brawn] e Nick [Fry] e ter Michael como companheiro é ótimo. Será uma grande temporada."

Rosberg: A great season ahead

Racing for Mercedes GP is a "dream come true" for Nico Rosberg, who joined team-mate Michael Schumacher in unveiling the team's 2010 livery in Stuttgart on Monday.

Signed by Mercedes in the wake of last year's Championship, Rosberg has swapped the Williams F1 team for a chance at winning the World title with last year's Champions.

Half of the all-German line-up, Rosberg is eager to make his mark, confident that working with the likes of team boss Ross Brawn, who was instrumental in eight World titles, and seven-time Champion Schumacher will stand him in good stead.

"It's very special, a dream come true. It's fantastic, and I really look forward to it," he said.

"Working with people like Ross, Nick (Fry), Norbert (Haug), and especially Michael, is something I'm very much looking forward to.

"It is going to be a great season."

Monday's unveiling of Mercedes's Silver Arrows livery, which took place in the carmaker's museum in Stuttgart with over 600 guests in attendance, was a special moment for Rosberg, who is eager to make his mark as a Mercedes driver.

"You can really feel the successful motorsport history of Mercedes-Benz here at the Museum in Stuttgart and to be part of the new Silver Arrows team and that racing heritage makes me feel extremely proud and motivated.

"Since joining the team in November, I have spent a lot of time at the factory in Brackley, at Mercedes-Benz High Performance Engines in Brixworth and here in Stuttgart, which has given me the opportunity to settle in and get to know everyone.

"I have seen how hard the team is working on the new car and I really can't wait for the opportunity to drive it for the first time in Valencia next week.

"I am looking forward to working with everyone at Mercedes GP Petronas and will give it my all to reward their fantastic efforts with good on-track results this season."
