According to Räikkönen the off was a concequence of a note mistake. This stage was the first stage Räikkönen made notes of.

- I drove to the corner a bit too fast because the note wasn't quite right, Räikkönen said on the service break.

After the off Räikkönen's car got stuck in the ditch again.

- It was a pretty deep ditch. We went over it but when we tried to drive again we got stuck and couldn't get up without help, Räikkönen said.

After he came up from the ditch Räikkönen saw that the car wasn't fully in order.

- Two tyres went off and we had only one spare tyre. We had to tune a litte so that we got the car to work again. That took most of the time.

Finally Räikkönen and Kaj Lindström got the tyres to work again.

- We had to jump on the tyre, Räikkönen described.

He was in a good mood in the service break.

- These things happen every now and then. It's nothing, Räikkönen said.
